A picture is worth a thousand words.............

After 14 years of marriage and 16 years of being together I find myself more and more in love with my husband every day.  I came across this picture today and it just says it all.
"Life ain't always beautiful, but it's a beautiful ride".  And it was worth the ride!

Believe me, it does get better with proper aging.

10 things I know for sure.................

I keep finding myself dreaming of what is to be.  Don't get me wrong, I am perfectly content with what and who I am right now.  But only content I think for right now.  Since I have been to the top and all the way to the bottom.  Believe me, being right in the middle is perfect for me.  I am very proud of where I am right now on my journey of life.

Here is what I know:

1.  I have almost ZERO debt, I owe a few bills out for repairs and maintenance things on my KY house, about $1600.00.   I also have another small debt, a few hundred dollars, nothing major.  And that is all of our debt, ALL OF IT!
2.  I am saving for the new house, and believe me, within two years, we will have it or it will be being built!
3.  My marriage for the most part is wonderful, there are days when he still bugs me, but what man does not bug a woman?  He is a great partner in this journey and he makes me smile, ALOT!!  He is my lover, my friend and the one I confide in.  I can count on him to carry our family through, I can count on him to make me feel better when I need it, and mostly I can count on him to love me.  I know he loves me and always will.
4.  I have no regrets, living with regrets can be a major downer in any life.  I am totally regret free, if mistakes were made, I have come to grips with it, and it is over and done with, I am not perfect!
5.  I have wonderful adult children that have made something of their lives, and are still in the process of becoming the successful human they were born to be.  I love you all so much, and I am so excited for your futures!
6.  Having a nine year old at home still keeps me grounded, and feeding the animals gives me peace inside.  Having a chore list as long as my arm makes me feel accomplished and know I am doing my part to make my life as good as it can be.  Something about lists, crossing off the numbers going down the row.  At night, when I lay my head down, the more I have crossed off the better I sleep.  Weird isn't it?
7.  All of who I am I owe to my parents, thank you Mom and Dad for raising me and loving me.  I love you more than you will ever know!  Thank you for giving me a little sister, she is an amazing person.
8.  I know there are many more mysteries and u-turns ahead.  No problem, after what I have been through, I can do it!  And with grace this time.
9.  I believe in bigger and better things, thank you Jesus for loving me and making my life as beautiful as it is.
10.  I pray for world peace, cheesy I know, but world peace is my biggest and best dream, we are all one, and need to join together and become a better race of human beings.  God Bless us all!

Trip to Virginia to see the kids

Look at these faces, we went to visit my sailor son on his ship, the Normandy to share what time we could with him.  And then.....

Toes in the water, toes in the sand.  Some time shared soaking up the sun.

My proud 8 year old after receiving special gifts from big brother.  Jonathon shared one of his hats, a belt and his medalion with his little brother, because as Dakota says " Jonathon I am not following my own footsteps, I am following yours"!

Look at my two handsome sons, they look so much alike!

A little blurry, but look at the happiness beaming, it could be the sushi!

My 26 year old playing with her little brother!  What a great sister she is!
